January 3, 2018

Wizz Air has announced the re-start of operations from Kharkiv, which will become the carrier’s third  airport in the Ukraine, along with five new routes to be launched in 2018 from the regional airports of Lviv and Kharkiv.

The new services from Kharkiv to Dortmund and Katowice will each operate twice a week, starting in April and June respectively. The low-fare network from Lviv will be further expanded, with three new routes to Dortmund, Katowice and Gdansk, all starting next spring.

The Ukraine’s leading low-cost carrier – and the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe – has enjoyed a prolonged period of expansion during 2017, with six new routes launched from Kyiv to Warsaw, Poznan and Lublin in Poland, Nuremberg and Frankfurt Hann in Germany and Copenhagen in Denmark. It has also added a second Airbus A320 to its Kyiv fleet, having restarted Lviv operations in the spring with two new services to Berlin and Wroclaw.
