RCI Named Among Best Places to Work in Indiana
RCI’s corporate culture receives recognition for the third consecutive year spotlighting the positive and balanced work environment of its Indianapolis office
PARSIPPANY, N.J. (June 20, 2011) – RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands (NYSE: WYN), has been named among the Best Places to Work in Indiana for the third consecutive year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. The program recognizes businesses that demonstrate a corporate culture that places equal importance on both employee satisfaction and successful business operations.
The Indianapolis office has more than 1,000 employees who carry out a multitude of responsibilities that are critical to maintaining RCI’s profile as “the leader” in vacation exchange. While the primary function of the Indianapolis office is serving as a global call center for 3.8 million RCI® subscribing members, it also has an expansive sales, information technology and finance workforce.
“The Indianapolis team is an integral part of our business,” said Gordon Gurnik, president, RCI. “Often serving as the face of our company, these associates make us proud with the superior level of commitment and enthusiasm they show our members on a daily basis. We strive to provide them with the same level of passion through programs that foster the spirit of “Count on Me,” our internal service philosophy which emphasizes the values of responsiveness, respect and delivery in every interaction whether it’s internally with fellow-associates or externally with clients, vendors or members.”
In addition to this honor, Wyndham Worldwide was recently named among the Best Places of Work in New Jersey by NJBIZ Magazine. “It’s fulfilling to see that RCI’s culture is mirroring that of its parent company, showing a consistency across all Wyndham Worldwide’s family of brands in its commitment to its associates,” added Gurnik.
The companies participating in the 2011 Best Places to Work program received an in-depth evaluation pinpointing strengths and weaknesses as determined by their employees.
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce hopes companies will use the program as a tool for developing and enhancing employee retention and recruitment programs.
